BigSteelBoxes are actually shipping containers so they are weather and rodent-proof, and come equipped with a steel Lock Box to protect your padlock from bolt cutters.

Our service is extremely convenient because we bring the storage to you, so you only have to load and unload your items once. From our storage facility in Carp, ON, we're able to provide portable storage unit rentals and sales to residential and business customers in Ottawa, Gatineau and surrounding area. We just moved from North Dundas to Petawawa using Big Steel Box and we were extremely pleased with all aspects of their service. From the initial quote, to the drop off, transfer, and delivery, everything went flawlessly. They arrived exactly when they said they would with a 20' clean, secure container that had room for our entire house. It was level and placed exactly where we wanted it. We took our time - two weeks - to load up the box and packed it right to the ceiling, which is 8'6". We used ratchet straps to secure each of four major segments. It helps to have a large item like a mattress to hold everything in place. They picked up the box on time and delivered it exactly when they said they would, and everything inside was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Big Steel Box to anyone who has their own manpower to pack and load. Thanks for such a reliable, low-stress transaction. I'd give them six stars if I could.

I recently used their services and rented a 20’ container. It arrived on time, was clean and serviceable and the driver was very friendly. Pick-up was a repeat of the same excellent customer experience. I stored my container at the Carp yard and had it delivered 6 weeks later. Again the experience was stellar. The customer services reps in BC and Mike Bigeau (Carp facility manger) we’re all excellent to deal with. I would recommend Big Steel Box without hesitation.

My first contact with staff was very professional, friendly and responsive. This carried through to pick-up, delivery, and drop-off. Although we packed ourselves, everything arrived in top shape. Everyone from local manager (Ladysmith) to drop-off driver to phone staff was excellent. And we saved a ton of money moving across Canada. No hesitation in recommending BSB!

Big Steel was great! Mike in Stittsville was very helpful, I stopped in twice with questions before we went with them. We were loading a container here in Ottawa to go to Calgary. Kaytlin at the office in BC was my contact to get everything set up. Very competitive prices. The manager at the Calgary yard was also very helpful when the container arrived. We had an issue which was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Big Steel for moving and or storage.
